Sustainable Business Collaborative News

The Sustainable Business Collaborative held  its first meeting, Tuesday,  at the Inn by the Sea.  In attendance were representatives from Bath Savings Institution, Fairpoint Communications, Haven's Candies,  Taggart Construction, Seabags, Verrill Dana, WBRC Architects, among others.  The discussion, moderated by Mainebiz publisher Donna Brassard, was robust and lively as participants considered the following questions:

1.  What do you view as Maine’s most promising emerging industries (i.e. composites, renewable energy, etc.)?

2.  What is necessary for these emerging industries to flourish?  What support systems are necessary to ensure their growth?
